Polish Pickles

                                    Ingredients:

                                    Select fresh, firm cucumbers. Wash and pack into
                                    jars. In each quart jar include:

                                    1 tsp dill seeds
                                    1 small hot pepper
                                    2 or 3 cloves garlic

                                    Boil 2 quarts water, 1 quart vinegar, 1 cup canning
                                    salt. Pour vinegar mix over cucumbers and seal. Ready
                                    in 4-6 weeks. Makes brine for 5 quarts.

                                                 Quick Spaghetti Sauce

                                    Ingredients:

                                    1 lb ground beef
                                    2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
                                    ½ tsp oregano leaves
                                    ¼ tsp garlic powder
                                    ⅛ tsp pepper
                                    ½ cup chopped onion
                                    1 (4 oz) can mushrooms (optional)
                                    ½ tsp basil leaves

                                    Brown ground beef and onion, drain. Add remaining
                                    ingredients, mix well. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring
                                    occasionally.
