Abstract This research focuses on the design and development of the rear suspension and
power transmission of the outdoor all-terrain wheelchair. This research aims to design rear
suspension and power transmits that are suitable and affordable to be used for outdoor all-
terrain wheelchairs. For the Final Year Project 1 (FYP1), the problem statement, objective, and
scope of the research project need to be identified to clarify the direction for this study. The
information and data need to be collected from the previous journal, and the rear suspension
and power transmission system need to explain briefly. The software for the design and to
makes an analysis must be chosen and identified. SOLIDWORKS 2020 and ABAQUS are
selected to design and make the analysis of this model. The design of rear suspension and
power transmission is studied before proceeding with the fabrication process. The fabrication
will be held at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institue workshop and lab.
