and Braking System for an Outdoor
All-terrain Wheelchair

Abstract This research project deals with designing and developing the steering and braking
system of the outdoor all-terrain chair. This research aims to design a steering and braking
system affordable and suitable for outdoor terrain wheelchairs Final Year Project 1 (FYP1).
The problem statement, objective, and scope of the research project need to be identified to
clarify the direction for this study. The information and data need to be collected from the
previous journal, and the application of the steering and braking system needs to explain
briefly. The software for the design and to makes an analysis must be chosen and identified.
SOLIDWORKS 2020 is selected to design and make an analysis of this model. The design of
the steering and brake components of the wheelchair is studied before proceeding with the
fabrication process. The fabrication will be held at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish
Institute workshop and lab.
