Appreciation Dinner with Swiss Ambassador to
Singapore
A thank-you dinner was hosted by NYAA Gold Award
holder Mr Roddy Mu at WOK degree 15 Kitchen
at ONE 15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Singapore, on 3
February 2020 to thank H.E. Fabrice Filliez, Swiss
Ambassador to Singapore. Mr Mu wanted to thank
the Ambassador for his support for the Department
of Education of Harbin City when they visited
Switzerland. Thank you dinner hosted by Mr Roddy Mu, Managing Director,
Wanhe International attended by Swiss Ambassador to Singapore
and senior management of NYAA.
Thank You Luncheon for H.E. James Sinclair,
Ambassador of Chile to Singapore
Chile and Singapore enjoyed a very close and
warm relationship for the last 40 years. NYAA and
the Embassy of Chile have also enjoyed very close
relations over the years. The Embassy of Chile
works very closely to provide NYAA participants
opportunities and platforms to attend Chilean
Embassy’s events and projects, especially to the Gold Mr James Soh, Executive Director, NYAA Council, presented

On 30 January 2020, the NYAA hosted a farewell
luncheon to thank H.E. James Sinclair, Ambassador of
Chile, for his support. Ambassador Sinclair returns to
Santiago, Chile, on 3 February 2020. An appreciation
plaque signed by Deputy Prime Minister Mr Heng
Swee Keat was presented to H.E. James Sinclair at the
luncheon event. Supporters and friends of Chile attended the appreciation
luncheon in honour of Ambassador James Sinclair of Chile.
BLAZING THE TRAIL
Many NYAA leaders have succeeded in their various professional and personal activities. In addition, they
have made outstanding achievements and contributions at the local and international levels.
These young men and women have made history through their pioneering works. They have achieved success
in schools, their careers, or their engagement with various organisations and the community. Despite these
trying times, they have brought much honour and recognition to their families, schools, communities, NYAA
and Singapore. The NYAA Council is proud of the significant achievements made by some NYAA leaders in
2020.
9th International Swiss Talent Forum 2020
Send-off Ceremony
The NYAA Council selected two outstanding ITE
students - Mr Galen Tan Yi Hung and Mr Dela Cruz
Ysmael Achilles Villamayor, to represent Singapore at
the 9th International Swiss Talent Forum 2020 held in
Nottwil, Switzerland, from 5 to 8 February 2020.
Swiss Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Fabrice Filliez
hosted a Send-Off Ceremony cum Dinner for the
two NYAA’s Representative to the 9th International
Swiss Talent Forum 2020 at the Swiss Ambassador’s
residence. The senior management of ITE, led by H.E. Fabrice Filliez with the two students, Mr Galen Tan Yi Hung
Ms Low Khah Gek, Chief Executive Officer of ITE, and Mr Dela Cruz Ysmael Achilles Villamayor, senior management
of ITE and Ms Low Khah Gek, CEO of ITE at the Send-off Ceremony
