China-Singapore Beyond 30 Project
The NYAA and the People’s Republic of China enjoyed
a close relationship since 1994. In 2020, China and
Singapore celebrated their 30th Anniversary of
Diplomatic Relations. The People’s Government of
Heilongjiang and Harbin City also enjoyed a close
friendship with the NYAA over the last ten years. Two
of the key NYAA supporters were Mr Lu Hao, former
Governor of Heilongjiang Province, and presently
the Ecology and Environment Minister, and Mr Sun
Yao, former Vice-Governor of Heilongjiang Province,
presently Vice-Minister of Education with the Central
Government in Beijing. The NYAA had the honour
to work with Minister Lu Hao at the United Nations
Environment Assembly.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the
project was postponed. The NYAA re-proposed to
organise a China-Singapore Beyond 30 Project in 2021
to strengthen and enhance the close relationship
between China and Singapore beyond the 30 years.
