NYAA Gold Award Holder Mr Mohammad
            Abbas
Mohammad Abbas, an NYAA Gold Award holder
(2015 Cohort) and Co-founder of Rely, a very
            successful Singapore-based financial technology
company, was featured on Channel News Asia on
21 September 2020 on his innovation in 3 - an easy
monthly instalment payment software - developed
by Abbas’s company, Rely. The system helps those
who need an easy monthly instalment scheme to
purchase essential goods that they need for their
family without paying upfront with cash.

Through research, Abbas discovered that many less
well-off but honest people who need small loans to
help start a small business could not secure a loan
from our banks as they do not have collateral as
security. Therefore, even if they have good ideas,
they will never succeed in securing a loan due to the
security requirement by banks on loan disbursement.
So, Abbas’s fintech company provides those who
need a small loan to secure a loan from the banks
through his software financing system. Mr Mohammad Abbas, Co-founder of Rely.
