have been “a man full of faith and of the

Holy Ghost,” but, sadly, it seems that many

churches today prefer that their pastors and

their leaders not be too godly nor too sober-

minded but that they have a “good sense of

humor.”

But even spiritually qualified church

leaders should never be worshipped, nor

should they override the leading of the

Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life. First John

2:27 says, “But the anointing which ye have

received of him abideth in you [referring to

the Holy Spirit], and ye need not that any

man teach you: but as the same anointing

teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and

is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye

shall abide in him.” However, it should also
