ministering to my own family, which I

believe, as a wife and mother, should have

been my first priority in Christian service

and ministries — and I believe it was the

pastor’s responsibility to give that kind of

spiritual direction to a young Christian,

wife, and mother.

Also, when entertainment, banquets, and

programs are the “drawing card” for

outreach and church attendance, I seriously

question whether God condescends to these

kinds of carnal methods and gimmicks and

saves souls and/or produces genuine spiritual

growth in the lives of believers — despite

all the hype and emotionalism that accompany

those kinds of activities. Could that possibly

be the reason why we are not seeing changed
