Will the Real Christians Stand Up Will the Real Christians Stand Up

              “I will be,” said Samaria.
At the homes of Katey and Adriana, a similar conversa-
tion was occurring. Both sets of parents were proud of their
daughters and the stand they had begun to take for righ-

teousness. They encouraged their daughters and pledged
that they would be right beside them when they marched in
         Tallahassee on December 1.

        Meeting with Mayor Bartley

“Wow, is this your office?” Adriana inquired.
“We can see the entire downtown of Jacksonville,” Sa-
maria said as she, Adriana and Katey viewed the scene from
         Mayor Bartley’s office window.

The girls could clearly see the wide avenues and small
places to sit and eat, to relax as they continued to peer from
the window. There were the sky towers in the centre. What
was once thousands of homes now took up less ground space
than an old shopping mall. The girls favorite scene was the
river that flowed through the centre, crossing the bridges. “I

can’t wait until I become mayor,” said Samaria.
              “Me too,” Adriana agreed.
Mayor Bartley smiled, turned and walked to the window.
“There are many days I look forward to coming to work as
there’s hardly a dull moment. I come to work happy and I

leave work happy. As we know, my joy and happiness is be-
cause Jesus Christ resides in me.”
Mayor Bartley smiled and stepped closer to the girls. “Very
well, how can I be of assistance to you young, bold warriors for
Christ?” Mayor Bartley inquired as she took a seat at her rather
         large desk.

The girls took their seats in the three large cozy chairs that
were already seated in front of mayor Bartley’s desk. “Yes
ma’am, we would first like to thank you for taking the time out
