After studying the aims of A3, the researcher believes that
assessment is a vehicle for educational improvement rather than an end
in itself. Assessment is concerned not just with learning results but also
with the learning process. Traditional assessments, which regard
assessment as a separate activity from learning and are typically used
to quantify students' learning outcomes, should be changed with
assessments that focus on learning improvement.
