            Y.E.S. Committee Reports
            In the interest of time, we will only call on those chairs that have not yet submitted a
            report to Soror K. Armwood-Bryant for the WorkBook.
            Xinos Report- Chaleeta Hines- No report given
            Kudos Report- Felicia Laury- No report given
            Kappa Omicron Tau- Valeria Edwards- report will be submitted.
            Chapter Roll Call- There were 25 chapters present and 6 chapters absent.


























            Scholarship- Rhonda Baskerville- Received 8 applications. Suggested changing the
            application wording from “post-marked by” to “received by” to reduce the differing times
            applications are received. Encouraged sorors to start early preparing students for the
            application process. Also stressed the importance of reading and following all application
            directions and completing the checklist.
            Perpetual Scholarship- Florence King, ER representative- Acknowledged committee
            members, Suzanne Gibbs, Xi and Kathleen Thomas, Beta. Explained that the in 2018-2019
            year the ER donated $8,445, but $12,000 in scholarship were given to ER Xinos/Kudos.
            The Region will have to try to raise more funds to eliminate a deficit in the future. It was
            reported that 19 of 33 chapters give to the perpetual scholarship fund. Acknowledged and
            thanked the three Red Letter Chapters, Xi, Beta and Theta.
            Literacy Committee- Vickie Pendleton, Alpha Chi reported on behalf of the chair. Chair
            explained that the Read Across America initiative is considered literacy. Encouraged
            chapters turn in a report. The Literacy lunch guests will be young authors from
            Wilmington, D.E. Requested that each Cluster purchase the books sold by the Literacy
            Luncheon guests and take a photo reading the book to a child. This book purchase will be
            in addition to the required chapter donation. Strongly encouraged sorors to attend the
            Literacy Luncheon.
