I have been with Essex 2 years, 7mos, serving in the position, Director Program
Management
The Program Management Department is an independent department however, we report
into Pat Klein, CTO/EVP of IT. The teamwork, leadership of the IT Department is
phenomenal. Pat Klein is such a strong leader and leads us in doing such great innovative
work. It’s an exciting time to be at Essex. My strengths are organizing and tracking project
work that needs to get done. Removing obstacles to realize progress.
Sheri
Rowden The most important leadership lesson I have learned Is that when you see a big project in
front of you and it seems so overwhelming, stop, regroup, and take one task at a time.
Director- Then when you look up, surprise! You’re halfway done. This is an important lesson,
Program especially as we look back on a year with so many obstacles and then you see how much
Management you’ve really accomplished. It’s very empowering.
When planning for future, being able to balance being realistic, along with setting of stretch
goals is important. My core values are honesty, integrity, and character. Always be looking
to the needs of others. It’s all about connecting with people. Be grateful for what you have
and where you are at this time of your life, even if it’s hard because on the other side,
you’ve learned valuable lessons.
Fun Fact: I enjoy gardening, cooking, and yoga.
