"I did not create the jinn and mankind except

to serve Me"(Qur'an 51:56)
Because Islam is believed to be a true religion and the

purpose of human creation is to serve Allah, which means total

surrender to Allah, all actions are carried out on the basis of
worshiping Allah. Thus the Minang custom which is based on

the syarak basandi custom, the Kitabullah syarak basandi has
an educational foundation in the form of creed, morals,

worship and muamalah. While the influence of the essence of
adat is emphasis on or focuses on the teachings of learning to

nature, namely rational teachings and teachings of mind that

stem from the nobility of conscience.
The Minang community has determined that Islam is a

religion that is believed to be a true role model. This is
believed because Islam comes from the highest source,

namely Allah SWT. If Islamic teachings are believed to be true
teachings by the community, then the purpose of traditional

education must be built and grounded on the basis of Islam,

while traditional teachings that have been integrated with
religion can be a reinforcement. Besides serving Allah,

functionally humans were created as caliphs on earth, this is

stated in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah: 30
