B. Educational Requirements
There are three types of educational streams found in the
world of general education. This is adjusted to his view of humans
and the side of educator resources that can be developed. The flow
is as follows:
1. Nativism
This theory was introduced by Schopenhauer (1768
- 1860), etymologically the word nativism comes from the
word nativus which means innate or also hereditary.
This flow adheres to the belief that human
development is largely determined by innate factors.
Therefore there are two opinions on this matter. First, in the
extreme, humans cannot be educated and do not even need
to be educated. Second, it is more advanced that humans
are given full freedom so that they develop according to
their respective instincts without being touched by the
influence of other people (educators), therefore education
in this school is very liberal and the role of educators is very
small (almost non-existent).
2. Empiricism
This theory is called the tabularasa theory,
etymologically it means the table covered with wax was
used by the ancient Greeks for writing.
