                          The  provisions  or  laws  above  are  universally

                  applicable  nature  or  sunatullah.  The  two  types  of  adat
                  above have been integrated into one solid unit, so that their

                  existence cannot be changed and is the basis of the other
                  two types of adat.

                  4.  Adat  nan  sabatang,  pusako  nan  sabuah.  (One

                      custom, one heirloom)
                          This  type  of  custom  is  a  rule  that  comes  from

                  consensus or agreement of traditional stakeholders such as
                  the  head,  datuk,  ninik  mamak  in  the  nagari.  Adat  nan

                  teradat  is  an  interpretation  of  the  two  types  of  adat
                  described  previously.  Because  this  type  of  adat  is

                  interpretive, it must be structured according to the situation

                  and conditions of each nagari.
