Adat leads to a sincere spirit in carrying out an act such as
an action that is not carried out with the intention of obtaining
material rewards, but he does it out of nobility that does not expect
a retaliation. A job is done on the basis of wanting to help sincerely
without the intention of material desires. Therefore, it can be
concluded that the philosophy of mind contained in the teachings
of the takambang nature as a teacher is to lead people to be sincere
in doing something good. So the concept of traditional education
number four is sincerity.
Sincerity is the main teaching in adat, so the Minang people
are not right to be called materialistic, which underlies life on mere
material things or all work is based on material balance. On the
other hand, traditional teachings guide how sincerity must be
prioritized because giving or doing something is based on virtue.
C. Custom Type
If viewed from the substance, then customs can be divided
into four:
1. Adat nan sabananyo adat (customs that are actually
customary)
This type of custom is an invention of the natural
laws contained in nature itself. For example, the law in
