                         Sentences are confined to the function they are required to serve. They deal
                    with, a single topic and give their message in crisp, direct phraseology. If the
                    subject is pressure in a hydraulic jack, for example, the sentence is confined to
                    the jack and its pressure and the thought is not confused by particulars of the

                    operation or details of any electrical control equipment. Such associated information
                    as may be needed for a full appreciation of the pressure is given in separate
