Nurse: Assist please, hurry! Yellow tag here!

Admiting Nurse: Sir, what’s the full name of the patient and your relation to the patient? Do you
have a Health Insurance Card?
Director Choi: Her name is Olivia Choi and she’s my wife. Yes, we do have an H.M.O. Her Inter-

Admiting Nurse: May I ask what happened prior to the bleeding incidence?
Director Choi: She was taking a shower when all of a sudden I heard her scream that she’s hav-
ing blurred vision.
Resident Doctor: Okay, I am Dr. Evan Holmes and I’m the Resident Doctor On Duty.
Nurse: Doctor, the blood pressure reading is 200/110.
Resident Doctor: Oh, that’s too high! Mrs. Choi, can you see me clearly?
Mrs. Choi: (Lethargic) No, doctor, I’m still having blurred vision, dizziness and I’m experienc-
ing sustained hyper-acidity.
Resident Doctor: How long have you been pregnant? Is it your first baby and how long have you
been experiencing this?
Director Choi: It’s our first baby and she’s on her 6th month now. Dr. Holmes, she’s been expe-
riencing this since last week.
Resident Doctor: I’m afraid that the baby’s coming out this soon. She’s experiencing severe
Pre-eclampsia.
Director Choi: What do we need to do?
Resident Doctor: I need to stop the cervix from dilating to prevent premature delivery of your
baby or else she’ll undergo Cesarean Section thus, losing your baby completely.
Mrs. Choi: (Crying) Oh, doctor please, save my baby! I beg you, please!
Resident Doctor: I’m a doctor; I’ll try to do all my best to help you. Meanwhile, we need to
admit you to prevent your early delivery and strictly monitor yours and the baby’s condition.
Nurse: Please sign this waiver if you agree to be confined here and be placed under strict moni-
toring.
