an explanation for it. All I have in mind is first, go and see a doctor to have a concrete
diagnosis; second is to follow the doctor’s advice regarding my condition.
2. Do you think that the precise, clear and easy way of explaining signs and
symptoms set by the doctor has an effect in the acceptance and recovery of
the patient?
Sample answer:
That is correct since most of the patients are ordinary people who cannot understand difficult
medical terms, which can only be more confusing for them, thus can slow down treatment
process resulting to an impending recovery.
3. Do you go for a second opinion or are you satisfied with the result of your
first diagnosis?
Sample answer:
It’s a case to case basis, if I think that the symptoms and the diagnosis is not that simple and a
bit major or complicated, I believe it is safer to go for a second or third opinion so we can com-
pare thus, it will be easier for us to understand our prognosis, treatment and recovery.

Urine Examination done. After you got the result from the laboratory, you
went back to see the doctor for you diagnosis. You want to understand how
you got the disease.
Sample answer:
Doctor, could you explain further how I got the U.T.I? I find it hard to empty my bladder on time
most especially if I’m caught in the middle of a meeting. Even though I feel the urge, I don’t go
to the toilet at once and I still wait for the meeting to adjourn. Actually, I feel embarrassed to
answer this question because sometimes I am in a hurry to go back to the office that I tend to
forget to observe hygienic practices before leaving the toilet. I also drink less water. I’m so busy
that I forget to take at least 8 glasses of water in a day.
2. You are a single-working mother of a 1-year-old daughter and you went to
bring you baby to the hospital because of Diarrhea with Severe Dehydra-
tion.
Sample answer:
I’m so worried about my baby’s condition. I wanted to know why she had displayed such signs
and symptoms because of Diarrhea. Please educate me, so I can avoid my faults next time. I’m
thinking if it’s due to poor sterilization of feeding bottle; however, I’m sure I did it well. I make
sure that I have sterilized the bottles before preparing milk. The water that I use for mixing her
milk could be the reason. I think I have to check with the water station where I bought the puri-
fied water. It could be infected.
