               Rush of orders

Jung: How has our latest model of Sensor Equipped Super computer, SESC-3904, been accepted
                  on the market?
Foster: Its’ been very well accepted. You can’t imagine the deluge of orders that we got right af-
ter the product launching and the first run of advertisements! The reception is definitely more
that we had hoped for. In fact, there’s still a great demand for your newly developed model,
too. Recently there has been a rush of orders for our Sensor Equipped Super Computer, SESC-
                  3904/5 on our local market.
Jung: Really? What’s the main selling point of this model in the market?
Foster: I would have to say that it’s the reasonable price for the model coupled with your
company’s quick delivery have made it a hot item in the market. Only a few companies can
provide such service. We are glad to be one of them.
Jung: Do you mean our future on the market looks bright? That’s great!
Foster: That’s right. Mr. Jung. I have already relayed the bulk of orders to our department. What
we have to do now is to comply with this big demand and make sure that we meet our clients’
expectations with regard to delivery. We have to maintain the favorable momentum that we are
enjoying in the market. We have to strategize our order and delivery to keep things organized.

               1. When is your company’s peak season for orders or work?

                  Sample answer:
We usually get a lot of orders from November to December. It’s because of the Christ-
mas season. People have a lot of money to spend, and we benefit from that.

               2. How do you prepare for this peak season?

                  Sample answer:
We field in more people at our stores. We also brief our staff about possible problems during
this season, so that they will be prepared to handle them. We make sure that we have a good
stock of supplies and that we have an organized system for taking in orders.
               3. On the other hand, how do you survive the lean months or periods?

                  Sample answer:
Well, we take care of our finances, so that we get through the lean months. It’s all about the
right allocation of budget, right spending, and good investing too. We save our profits during
