agenda or business proposal.

               3. What is the most important key term in a meeting?

                  Sample answer:
The most important key term in a meeting is the goal. You are setting up a meeting to
accomplish something. Agenda are the list of things that you need to accomplish to
achieve a goal. If there would be no goals to achieve and no agenda to practice, then
there is no need to set up a meeting.

               1. You are in charge of the Marketing Department in a car company. Your goal
is to improve the sales by 10% this month. The CEO made you the chairper-
son on the next meeting. He would like to see your agenda before proceed-
ing, how would you lay this down

                  Sample answer:
Right now Sir, we are doing a good job in terms of sales, but we need to surpass our
performance. Since our goal is to increase sales productivity by 10%, our agenda is to
identify our current Market, get what they want in a car to capture their buying op-
tions and get another prospective Market to add more sales. We won’t loose in view of
the fact that both will give us an increase. The only thing that we need to weigh now is
the cost in carrying it out. Truly, things will be as smooth as silk if only I as a Chairper-
son could lay all the information needed and have my team practice the agenda that
we’ve set in order to achieve our goal.

               2. Being the secretary of the conference, you are given the task to reserve two
possible conference rooms where the meeting could be held within 2 days.
The first one would be available past 1 day of your schedule and the time is
at 3:00 pm. You chose the second option wherein it can be reserved on the
second day of your deadline at 8:30 am. Explain to your boss why you chose
                  such.

                  Sample answer:
With all due respect, I chose the second option at the best of my judgment because
the first one will delay our agenda too much, given that we only have 2 days left to
meet. In addition, choosing an afternoon schedule would give us the problem of di-
vided attention since we all know that people are looking forward to end their shifts
and rest. Sir, I think that we have reserved the best schedule for the Benefit of the
many. I guess you should just relax and we’ll just have to wait for the success of our
forthcoming conference. Let’s just lay all our hopes up, have faith and rejoice since our
                  reservation was finally done.
