Yoon: However, as an initial business negotiation with you, I’d like to discuss this discount matter
with Mr. Park, the Director of the Export Department. He is obviously the best person to consult
about our request. I truly hope he will consider this request. Can you please check if he can
talk to me?
Richard: Well, that’s a good idea. By the way, I also want to consult him about something. Will you
check on his availability?
Yoon: Just a moment, I’ll call him. (After some time) Oh, Mr. Park will not be available until some-
time after lunch. His secretary said that he would call back around 2pm. Is it possible for you
to wait? I can call again later to check if he’s in.
Richard: This is very important to me, so I think I’ll wait for him. I’ll see what comes with this
matter. Thank you very much. Mr. Yoon.
