               The delay of shipment

Park: Yes, this is the first time this sort of thing has ever happened to us and it’s totally unexpected.
As we’ve already explained by fax, the component motors for the robots are ordered from out-
side and they have been delayed. We are truly very sorry for this. Rest assured that we are doing
everything we can to do something about this.
Come: I understand the TR-9500 is selling very well. We believe in the quality of your product and
this is why we chose to do business with you. We didn’t expect for it to come to this. We are
really disappointed. Could it be possible that UNIPIA just accepted more orders than they could
handle, so the shipment of our order has to be left for later?
Park: That’s certainly not true, Mr. Come. You’re right that the TR-9500 is selling well, and that
our production is having some trouble keeping up with the orders, but we have definitely not
accepted more orders than we can handle. This is the first time that this has happened to us,
and I’m very sorry that it has to happen in a business with you. We are doing all that we can.
Come: Yes, well I hope so. What are you prepared to do regarding this issue?
Park: We now coordinated with a different ship and transferred your cargo. Our delivery will be
late but for a day only instead of the initial 7-day initial prediction. I hope that you can afford to
wait for one day. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

               1. What office or personnel in your company handle order placements?

                  Sample answer:
Our secretariat also handles order placement during peak seasons, but the marketing person-
nel are the ones who are in charge of this.

               2. What is the maximum number of orders that you can attend to at a time?

                  Sample answer:
We can handle a max order of 100,000 units during peak seasons. We can’t go beyond that lest
                  we experience delays.

               3. Have you ever accepted orders that proved to be too big to handle? How did
                  you solve this oversight?

                  Sample answer:
We have never done. We value our good name in this business and we know that we will get in
