4.  Collect necessary equipment for each type of  body position
                   5.  Apply the general principles  of  positioning

                        Dorsal Recumbent
               The patient lies on the back, knee flexed and separated
                       Dorsal Elevated position
               Same as dorsal recumbent except that the head and shoulders are slightly elevated. Used for
               the examination of the genital organs in women.
                       Lithotomy Position
               The patient lies on back the same as in dorsal recumbent, except the tights are flexed upon the
               abdomen and the legs and thighs are abdicated and held in position by the use of stirrups.
               Uses:  For gynecology Procedures, deliveries, examinations, operations, diagnosis, and
               treatment of conditions of the bladder, urethra, and hemorrhoidectomy.
                       Erect Position
               One having occiput and heals in line with the nose, and great toes in the same line.
               Uses: For differentiating tumors, diagnosis of hernia, and examination of pelvic joins and toes
               of balance.
                       Flower's Position
               Fowler's position is a sitting-up position, which is maintained utilizing backrest and pillows.
               Pillows should support the patient's arms should be supported by pillows
               Uses:  For the relief of dyspnea such as in pneumonia and cardiac conditions, following chest,
               neck, and oral surgery, etc.
               In abdominal operation where there is a need for drainage as inoperative peritonitis and
               perforated appendicitis.
                       Knee-chest (Genupectoral) position
               The patient is on his knees with the thighs upright and the chest resting on the table or bed and
               the arms crossed above the head.
               Uses: For proctoscopy and sigmoidoscopic examination for gynecological examination and
               sometimes in obstetrics
                       Knee-elbow (Genucubital) positons
               The patient lies down on his knees, thighs upright; body resting on elbows head down on
               hands, uses are the same as the knee-chest position
                       Horizontal or supine position
               Lying supine with the feet extended
               Uses: For palpation & auscultation; to listen to fetal heartbeat & inoperative Procedures
                        Left-Lateral position
                The patient lies on the left side, right knee, and thigh is drawn up.
                Uses:  For rectal operations, enemas, and in obstetrics
                        Sim's positions
