13. Show the electrical bell or give a phone number to call if the room does not have an
                       electrical bell system.
                   14. Environmental orientation should be given especially the toilet room and  bathroom

                       Procedures
                   1.  Collect all refuse and dispose of / segregate and collect waste & put into the
                       wastebasket
                   2.  Remove flowers, magazines & other articles on the bedside table & clean the table
                   3.  Clean the frame of the bed
                   4.  Clean mirrors
                        3.3.1 Care of equipment in the patient’s unit
                   ❖  Disinfect all equipment such as bedpans, urinals, sputum cups, basins, and kidney
                       basins with  disinfectant solutions of proper strength cold water
                   ❖  Then wash them with scouring powder (vim)
                   ❖  Rinse again & dry them & keep in their proper places
                   ❖  Wash sink in the room
                   ❖  Clean water pitcher and re-fill fresh water
                   ❖  Inform cleaner to sweep and mop the floor
                   ❖  Aerate  the room
                   ❖  Leave the room tidy and  ordered
                       3.3.2 Care of equipment in the utility room
                   ❖  Rinse all equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and sputum cups
                   ❖  Then wash them with cold-water and powder (vim).
                   ❖  Wash them with a disinfectant solution of proper strength, rinse again, dry, and keep
                       them  in their proper places
                   ❖  Enema or douche cans should be cleansed well each time after use and put away.
                   ❖  Enema or douche tubes should be boiled for 20 minutes before use
