Parry, then quickly counter with a jab by turning your wrist
as you extend your lead arm to connect your knuckles to
the target.
COMBINATION 47
Jab, rear hook, body shot
After retracting your jab, lift and lock your rear elbow at an
inner angle of 90 degrees while rotating at the waist to
throw the rear hook. Lower your lead forearm so that the
inner angle of your elbow is between 45 and 90 degrees as
you rotate around the waist to throw the body shot with the
lead hand.
COMBINATION 48
Jab, cross, slip, cross, hook
Turn your wrist on the jab and the cross to connect your
knuckles to the target. Bend laterally around the waist to
the side adjacent to your rear hand, taking your head off the
center line. Return to neutral stance as you throw the
second cross. Lift and lock your lead elbow at 90 degrees
and rotate around the waist to throw the lead hook.
COMBINATION 49
Jab, up-jab, hook
To throw the up-jab, lower your lead forearm so that your fist
is level to your naval, locking the inner angle of your elbow
at 90 degrees. Then, without decreasing the inner angle of
your elbow, use your shoulder to lever the upward motion
on the up-jab. Follow up with the lead hook.
