4. Step to the right. Your primary is your right foot and your
secondary is your left foot.
Repeat this exercise until you can maintain a rhythm with
this movement.
Note: When performing this exercise, start slowly and
gradually increase your speed. Notice that pushing off your
secondary foot increases your speed in the desired direction
by converting potential energy into kinetic energy or, in
other words, generating a propelling force behind the
primary foot. After several repetitions, start to incorporate
punches; add a jab, cross, and hook after each step.
