your lead foot to return to your boxing stance. At this point,
the distance between your feet should be about shoulder-
width apart.
3. Retract your rear hand to protect your chin.
4. Take a lateral step as you weave in the same direction as
your lead foot.
5. As your knees begin to extend during the upward motion
of the weave, throw an uppercut with your lead hand.
During the upward motion of the weave, step your rear foot
laterally, following the lead foot, to reset you into your
boxing stance.
6. Retract your lead hand back to protect your chin.
Important note: When following your rear foot, the lead
foot takes a backward and diagonal step. Next, the lead foot
takes a lateral step followed by a lateral step of the rear foot
in the same direction, which avoids bringing both feet
parallel to each other.
