Front Axle-Front Wheel Alignment
(i) View center of bubble on inclination gauge,
and read out knuckle pin inclination angle.

1089 series 7°30’ 7°15’~7°45’
If knuckle pin inclination angle is out of limits, check:
• Wear of knuckle pin and bushing
• Wheel hub bearing clearance
• Front axle bending
Service or replace as needed.

3. Checking front wheel toe-in
(a) With your vehicle unladen, park it on a flat road.
(b) Right steering wheel to set front wheel straight
ahead.
(c) Check tire pressure. (Reference “Chapter 23
Wheels and Tires-Wheel and Tire Assembly,
On-Vehicle Inspection”.)
(d) Using toe-in gauge, mark centers (on treads) of
fore parts of the 2 front wheels respectively,
and measure the distance between the 2 mark
points (designated S1).
