Front axle-front wheel hub with brake drum assembly
11. Checking front wheel hub
(a) Check front wheel hub for cracking and loose thread.
If any of above defects is found, replace with a new front wheel hub.
(b) Check wear of support necks of inner and outer bearings of front wheel hub.
Standard: Inner and outer support necks and outer races of inner and outer bearings of front
wheel hub form tight fit respectively without looseness.
If loose fit is found between a support neck and corresponding bearing outer race, correct or
replace as needed.
12. Checking front brake drum
(a) Check wear of front brake drum, and replace with a new one as needed.
13. Connecting left front wheel hub with brake
drum
(a) Connect left front wheel hub with brake drum
by tightening the 6 nuts.
Torques:

1051 series 287~336 N•m
1061 series 396~465 N•m
1089 series 396~465 N•m
Notice:
Be sure to replace with new nuts.
(b) Do thread sealing at 3 places on each nut in
order to prevent looseness.
14. Connecting right front wheel hub with brake drum
Tip:
Follow the same steps for connecting left front wheel hub with brake drum to connect right front
wheel hub with brake drum.
15. Installing left front wheel hub bearing
(a) Grease outer race of inner tapered roller
bearing, and press it onto left rear wheel hub
using copper bar.
Grease: 2# lithium base grease
