Transmission 6g 120- Secondary axle assembly
Overhaul

1. remove the secondary-axle front needle bearing

2. remove the fifth-shifting synchronizer ring
(a). Remove the fifth-shifting synchronizer ring.
Hint:
Label for the fifth-shifting synchronizer ring after
removal.

(b). Inspect the synchronizer ring. (refer to “chapter 31 b
transmission 6g 120-secondary-axle assembly,
overhaul”)

3. remove the fifth-shifting and sixth-shifting
synchronizers from the secondary axle
