Case study
a. Skills (40%)
A checklist will be used to evaluate students’ skills (see attached document)
b. Attitude/Attendance (20%)
If a student gets a grade of 5.0 in either Lecture or RLE, the student will have to reenroll
the failed subject and will not be allowed to take the major subject on the succeeding
semester/ summer
Course Audit
A course audit will be given every second semester and must be enrolled by the Level IV students
provided they meet the following requirements
a. They must have finished and passed all major nursing subjects with the exception of the
major subjects enrolled during the second semester of their fourth year level
The following are the guidelines for the Course Audit
a. The students must attend religiously to their course audit classes. Unexcused absence of
more than 10% of the total attendance will mean a grade of INC
b. No make-up classes will be given if a student misses a course audit class.
c. The students must get at least 60% of the test drills/exams and comprehensive exams
d. Level IV lecturers should incorporate the course audit exam scores in the computation of
the students’ grade in their major subject
If a student gets an INC grade, no removal exam will be given. Instead, he/she should enroll the
subject on the succeeding semester
Reporting of Grades
1. A student who is not performing well in his/her classes in the Related Learning Experiences
(RLE) shall be reported to the Guidance Counselor for proper action or advice.
2. Parents may be called to confer with the Guidance Counselor, or clinical Instructor or the
Dean regarding their child’s performance and class standing.
3. Each instructor must submit to the Dean’s Office the RLE grades of students for a particular
area 5 days after the last exposure.
4. Each instructor shall periodically inform his students on their class standing.
5. There is a prescribed time for teachers to submit the grades of the student to the University
Registrar’s Office. Each instructor must submit the final grades of students to the Registrar’s
Office within 5 days after the final examination.
