GRADING POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

POLICY
The work of the students shall be graded at the end of each term

GUIDELINES

A. At the end of each term, student’s grade shall be in accordance with the following system:

Grade Equivalent in percent

1.0 98-100
1.25 95-97
1.50 92-94
1.75 89-91
2.0 86-88
2.25 83-85
2.50 80-82
2.75 77-79
3.0 75-76
4.0 71-74 (cond./failure)
5.0 70 or below (failed)
INC. Incomplete

B. Transmutation system
a. Raw score will be Transmutation based on the following formula:
__Score_ X 60 + 40= Transmuted grade

A. LECTURE CLASSES

Prelims + quizzes 20%
Midterms 25%
Finals 25%
Requirement/ assignment 10%
Recitation 10%
Attendance 5%
Attitude 5%
100%

Quizzes/ Requirement/ Exams
A student who missed a Quizzes/ Requirement/ Exams because of an absence will have a
transmuted score of zero (0)
A student who gets a score of zero (0) during a Quizzes/ Requirement/ Exams will have a
transmuted grade of 40%.
A student who missed a Quizzes/ Requirement/ Exams because of a valid reason shall be given
one make up quiz provided he/she will present a proof that his absence should be
excused.
