Other Guidelines
a. A grade of “5” signifies Failure. It requires re-enrollment or repetition of the course
b. A grade of “4” means conditional failure. It may be made up by repeating the course,
or by passing a re-examination. If the students pass the re-examination, he is given a
grade of 3, otherwise, he is given a “5”. Only one re-examination is allowed. If the
conditional grade is not removed within one academic year, it becomes “5”.
c. “INC” indicates that the work is incomplete. It is given to a student whose class
standing throughout the semester is passing but fails to appear for the final
examination. In case standing is not passing and the student fails to take the final
examination for the reason, a grade of “5” is given. “INC” is also given due to some
requirements not complied with but with otherwise passing performance. If the student
passes the requirements, the final grade is maybe 3 or higher; if he fails to complete
the requirement/s within the period of one academic year he will automatically be given
a grade of “5”.
d. Requirement for the completion of an “INC” should be limited strictly to those specified
in the syllabus.
e. Only one removal exam for an incurred grade of 71 to 74 shall be given. Passing score
shall be 60% to get a grade of 75.
f. Grades after the College deliberation shall be considered final. The College
deliberation committee shall be composed of the Dean, and Faculty of the College.
g. For missed long examinations, midterms, and finals due to excused absences, the
passing score shall be 60% of the total items of exam respectively. No make up exam
