Paid Family Leave (PFL)
Effective January 1, 2018, employees in NYS are
eligible for Paid Family Leave (PFL) which provides 8
weeks of job-protected, paid leave to:
►bond with a new child
►care for a family member with a serious health condition
►help relieve family pressures when someone is called to
active military service.
Employees on PFL will also be eligible to continue
their benefits, including medical, at the same
contribution rate as active employees.

Workers’ Compensation
► If a work-related injury or illness occurs:
► Seek immediate medical attention if necessary.
►(Advise provider that injury/illness is work-
related.)
► Manager reports the incident within 2 hours to PMA, our
Worker’s Compensation Administrator
►Online at pmacompanies.com
► Advise Workers Comp team in Benefits immediately
After an Employee is disabled for five workdays due to a work
related illness or injury, regardless of classification, he or she is
eligible for Workers' Compensation benefits for loss of salary.
