District No 2 Station is a renovation a historic school building. With the goals of preserving the
historical nature of the school and providing improved policing in a high crime area, the historic
building proved to be a good political starting point for the City. The exterior and interior
historical aspects of the building were required to remain intact while police functions fit into the
building’s existing framework.

District No 3 Station also posed the challenge of a complex renovation. A former post office, the
building was converted to house district police functions in addition to the police administration
and serving as the Department’s training facility.
