Working with a very budget restricted Spanish Lake Fire Protection District, FGM delivered a
considerable addition and extensive interior renovation for Fire House No 1 to an otherwise
outdated and underserving existing facility. Being mindful of budget concerns and up against
escalating project costs, FGM provided the District with a house that not only serves the District’s
immediate needs of expanded and improved spaces but also one set up for possible future
growth.
Wentzville Fire Protection District
Fire House No 1 and Headquarters
After successfully passing a Summer 2014 Bond Referendum the Wentzville Fire Protection District
contracted with FGM to deliver the first four new fire houses. The Wentzville Fire District protects
88 square miles in the western side of St. Charles County (west of St. Louis County) serving a
rapidly expanding population base. Fire House No 1 and Headquarters is a 20,500 SF new
building which replaces an outdated and undersized existing facility. The site now provides more
immediate access to the network of highways through the Fire District. Additionally, the project
sends a strong message of community growth and progress in an otherwise underserved area of
the community. The facility is set for a full on-site training facility complete with FGM provided
outdoor classroom and training building with a future owner provided training tower structure.
The HQ facility accommodates District growth and the flexibility to increase officer and
administrative facilities over time.
