YOUR SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
You need other supporting documents to back up your application. All of them must be
available in the right format, size, and storage destination. They must be accessible,
readable, and easily convertible.
Education certificates: These includes High school, Diploma, Bachelor and
Postgraduate education certificates. They should be readily available in hard and soft
copies. Testimonial, Transcripts, and statements of results are tenable where applicable
and should be available on demand.
Other certificates: These are certificates of completion of professional courses, award
certificates, certificate of membership of relevant professional bodies, evidence of
registration with professional bodies regulatory council, appropriate licensures, Birth
certificate or affidavit of age declaration, certificate of indigenization or citizenship etc.
Valid means of identification: A passport size photograph clearly showing your face,
Driver license, International passport, voter’s registration card, National identity card or
any other valid identity card.
Other documents: Referee reports, Recommendation letters, award letters, letters of
commendation etc. These are necessary to back up your claims.
Job Application forms: Modern recruitment firms or employers prefer electronic
submission. However, some organizations have pre-designed application forms that is
downloadable or fillable on their website. You can fill your forms online either directly or
by downloading and filling it manually or use Adobe fill and sign software. Ensure you
write legibly and provide accurate information. Although very many people still accept
paper (hard copies) submissions but it is gradually becoming unpopular. However, it is
still wise to hold photocopies of your relevant supporting documents. You may need to
attach them to your job application.
In electronic submissions, you are expected to send your application as electronic mail
(Email) with the relevant supporting documents as attachment to the email (we will talk
