106320. According to the increased municipal boundary, the Rishikesh city has
average population density of 4090 persons per sq. km.
2.3.1 FLOATING POPULATION
Rishikesh serves as one of the famous tourist station and pilgrim city in the state of
Uttarakhand. Temples are the major attraction of then visitors in the city. Also there
are some tourist places and adventure sports destination in the city; this attracts
more visitors to this destination.
