What type of meetings does your club/federation hold?
Meeting procedures
Although some meetings may be very informal, there are some common
procedures that should be used in most meetings to make sure that the objective
of the meeting is met.
The structure and formality of a meeting:
• provides a constant framework
• helps people overcome anxieties
• encourages democracy
• minimises argument.
Standing orders and procedures:
• improve efficiency
• give everybody an equal right to be heard
• give everybody an equal vote.
