              FERC: Board/Advisory Committee (AC) - Work Description and Personal
                                                        Qualities

          Title: Board Member/Advisory Committee Member (AC)
          Main  purpose:  To  ensure  that  FERC  operates  in  a  manner  that  enables  it  to  fulfill  its  Mission,
          Vision, Values, and the goals identified in the current strategic plan, in an efficient, effective, and
          economic way.
          Working hours: Variable but an estimated 5 hours per month
          Key tasks:

          • Attend the majority of AC meetings and major events.
          • Develop and agree on FERC policies and procedures.
          • Develop and agree on the Plan for the Future.
          • Ensure that all FERC’s activities are within the law as regulated by the Thai government.
          • Ensure accountability and transparency to donors and beneficiaries.
          • Ensure that FERC has adequate human and financial resources.
          • Monitor FERC finances by ensuring that regular written financial reports are submitted to the
            Board/AC meetings.

          • Monitor FERC’s activities by ensuring that regular written reports are submitted to the Board/AC
            meetings by the Board/AC members with additional responsibilities.

          • Ensure that the FERC Registration is renewed every four years; the last renewal date was Dec.
            2019, and the next renewal is due December 2023. The process of renewal should start on 01
            Oct. 2023.

          Skills and Experience:
          • A personal commitment to the FERC Mission, Vision, and Values.
          • Integrity and good, independent judgment.
          • Possess sound Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills e.g. use a computer, tablet,
            or mobile phone, send an email, browse the internet, and make a video call.
          • A good command of written and spoken English.

          • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
          • Possess good time management skills.
          • An ability to work independently, flexibly, and creatively.
          • To be familiar with confidentiality requirements and data protection.
          • To be mindful of equality and diversity requirements.
          Essential:
          • Have their own computer, scanner, and printer in good working condition.
