                          FERC: Sponsored Student Program (SSP) Coordinator
                                   Work Description and Personal Qualities

          Title: Sponsored Student Program Officer
          Reports to: The FERC Board/Advisory Committee (AC)/Scholarship Committee
          Main purpose: To coordinate the Sponsored Student Program
          Working hours: Variable but an estimated average of 10 hours per month

          Key tasks:
          • Attend the majority of AC meetings and major events.
          • Work closely with the Social Media Officer in terms of promoting the Programs and developing
            promotional materials.
          • Respond to inquiries from potential sponsors.
          • Confirm allocation of sponsored students and respond to any subsequent correspondence from
            the sponsor.
          • Maintain an individual file on each sponsor and record any important emails.

          • Invite  sponsors  to  the  bi-annual  Awards’  Ceremony  and  school  trips  as  appropriate  for  the
            sponsor.
          • Send student updates to sponsors who cannot attend.

          • Remind sponsors as appropriate when further tranches of sponsorship money are due.
          • Work with the Treasurer to confirm transfer/deposit has been made and ensure that receipts are
            sent to all sponsors for money received.

          • Maintain  a  spreadsheet  incorporating  all  necessary  information  about  sponsors  and  the
            allocated students and share it with the Treasurer with each update.
          • Any other duties that may be reasonably required by the Board from time to time.

          Skills and Experience:
          • Possess sound Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills e.g. use a computer, tablet,
            or mobile phone, send an email, browse the internet, and make a video call.
          • A good command of written and spoken English.
          • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
          • Possess good time management skills.
          • An ability to work independently, flexibly, and creatively.
          • To be familiar with confidentiality requirements and data protection.

          • To be mindful of equality and diversity requirements.
          Essential:
          • Have their own computer, scanner, and printer in good working condition.
          • Review the FERC Handbook.
