Q.S.S.S.S.A. BOYS’ “A” GRADE CHAMPIONS

TENNIS
This year’s Q.S.S.S.S.A. fixtures has shown a general improvement
in the standard of tennis in our school and also in the other schools
which entered.
This year’s fixtures commenced on May 2nd and were divided into
two sections, Northside schools and Southside schools.
The South section consisted of Wynnum High, Salisbury High,
Cavendish Road and Commercial, each team, both “A” and “B" to
play the other teams twice, instead of once as was the case last year.
Our “A” team was defeated by Salisbury in the first round by three
games.
In the second round Wynnum defeated Salisbury by three games.
As both of these teams had defeated the other schools, this meant a play
off to decide the winner of this section. In this, Wynnum was successful
defeating Salisbury by six games.
