TAKE one good House Mistress, one good House Master, plenty of keen
students and a fair sprinkling of ability, mix well together and you have
a good house like Cunningham.
Although this was not such a successful year for us, it was not through
lack of enthusiasm or ability. The first major sporting event of the year was
the Swimming Carnival which was held in two sections, and in which we were
“drowned”. The girls victoriously held high the blue flag, but the boys suffered
defeat. They did, however, acquit themselves creditably. We congratulate all
who participated on their splendid efforts. Special congratulations go to Wendy
Abbott (under 15 champion) and Robin Ricketts (most outstanding boy).
We suffered considerably in girls tennis through the illness of players, but
