| TUCK SHOP’S GOOD FIRST YEAR
PARENTS AND CITIZENS' ASSOCIATION RECEIVES £1,350
A very successful first year has been completed by the School Tuck
Shop, which began operations on August 1, 1960. A profit of £1,576 was
achieved. Of this, £1,350 has been handed over to the Parents and
Citizens’ Association to be used for the provision of such amenities
and equipment for the School as the Association may determine.
Altogether, 170 mothers have taken part in organising and conducting
the Tuck Shop. On all schooldays and occasional special sports days,
the Tuck Shop has been open and busy. Rosters have averaged about
eight ladies on duty each day, and the work has been willingly and
cheerfully shared.
The Tuck Shop has thus proved to be an excellent means of not
only providing wholesome fare for the pupils of the school, but also of
producing revenue for the worthy objectives of the P. and C. Association
Volunteers for assistants in the daily work at the Tuck Shop will
be welcome. Mothers who would like to assist are invited to inform
the Principal.
