J AST year 1958 the school entered only one team in the “B” grade com
petition. This grade is played on concrete and the school team was
successful in winning the premiership, being undefeated throughout the year.
This year the school entered three teams, one in “A” grade, one in
“B” grade, and one in “C” grade.
The “A” team was promoted to the Turf grade again this year and.
so far, have had two drawn games and have been defeated outright by
Indooroopilly.
Notably in the match against Banyo was Trevor Neibling’s 100 not
out, in an innings total of 158. To do this Trevor, who opened the batting,
batted right through the innings to be not out.
team. A. Lentz and I. Ament were picked in the combined Secondary School’s
Alan Lentz scoring 76 not out and Ian Ament 20.
“B” team has played 3 matches so far and are undefeated with two
outright wins and one drawn match. Best batting has been from Peter
Driver and Ray McMahon, with good bowling support from Barry Reading.
“C” grade has not been so successful, losing all matches played to date,
although R. Hallman and G. Heslewood have shown form with the bat and
R. Hallman and G. Chuikoff have bowled well.
