carnival, but the High School section was comfortably won by Griffith,
who won the carnival on the whole.
Individual champions from Wentworth House were :
Under 15 girls : Janice Coulter (9 points).
Under 16 boys : Trevor Neibling (14 points), Trevor broke the
records in two of his events.
In the football matches the “A” team was beaten by both Lilley
and Griffith, while the “B” team played only one match which was
against Lilley and which we won.
In the athletics carnival we were by no means disgraced and lost
by a fairly large margin to Griffith with Lilley close behind us, third.
Individual champions were :
Under 14 girls : Gay Love (11 points).
Under 16 girls : Lorraine Hillier (13 points).
Under 15 boys : Grahame Pearson (15 points).
Under 16 boys : Ernie Pascoe (16 points),
Stewart Robinson of Wentworth House came first in the annual
cross-country race. His time was only four seconds outside the record.
Congratulations Stewart on a fine race.
We offer our thanks to all House members and to all the teachers
who have assisted us during the year. We congratulate all Lilley and
Griffith members on their fine sportsmanship and wish all students good
luck in their coming examinations.
