                                                  URINARY SYSTEM





                   1. Understand The Component Of Urinary System

                       1.1    Components of the Urinary System


                          a) Kidney - The kidneys are large, bean shaped rennin (a hormone important in
                              regulating g blood pressure) and erythropoietin (a hormone that helps produce red
                              blood cell).

                              The kidney can be divided into two distinct regions:

                                          Medulla
                                          Cortex

                          b) Ureters - The ureters carry urine to the bladder. They are 25cm tubs lined
                              smooth muscle. The muscular tissue helps force urine downwards.

                          c) Urethra - The urethra is a tube leading from the bladder to the outside opening
                              of the through which urine is discharge and the meatus is the external opening
                              urine conks out.


                          d) Urinary Bladder - The bladder is a reservoir for storing the urine until it is ready
                              to be disc from the body.




                   2. Learn about proteinuria, albuminuria, and hematuria.

                       2.1Proteinuria and albuminuria



                              Proteinuria means the appearance of excessive protein in the urine greater than
                              20mg/dl in the random sample.
                              Albuminuria means the appearance of excessive albumin in the urine greater
                              than 20mg/dl in the random sample.

                       2.3 Proteinuria always an unfavorable finding
