Some benefits of
mindfulness
It is important to note at this point that although mindfulness can offer a large number of benefits
for people and can instil seemingly small changes that can have hugely positive effects, this is not a
quick fix for all ailments.
Each of us responds differently to interventions, whether they are based in western medicine, psy-
chological practice or something entirely different so it is important to bear this in mind if embark-
ing on a mindfulness practice is something you are considering.
While there is a wealth of evidence supporting the positive impact that mindfulness can have it
does require a significant level of investment from those hoping to benefit from it and therefore
the expectations of the practice need to be met with effort – patience and non-judgement are key.
Here are just some of the things one might expect to get from a regular mindfulness practice:
Reduced Stress: this comes from a greater Increased Emotional Connectivity: with a better
ability to recognise and manage stress before understanding of ourselves comes a greater
