LEARNINGS FROM WORKING DRAWING

1. SETTING OUT PLAN & SITE PLAN
• Should follow triangulation method taking reference from nearest
corner of site to the center point of column and similarly c/c to others.
• Setting out plan is for determination of actual column placement in
site whereas site plan is for the determination of building footprint.
2. LAYOUT AND CONSTRUCTION PLAN OF ALL FLOORS
• Layout plan- dimension is turned off.
• Construction plan: furniture layer is turned off and different reference
notation are given which make easier to find out section, elevation
,wall section.

3. SECTIONS AND ELEVATION
• Different levels are mentioned in
section.
• Elevation drafting with proper glass
hatch and line weight with doors
window dimension and wall section is
to be denoted in elevation.
Notation for
wall section 4. FLOOR FINISH
• Proper notation , hatch and legends
with flooring type
• Sectional detail should be provided
where there is variation in flooring in
same level.
• Gain knowledge of different type of
flooring material their laying
methodology etc.

5. DOOR WINDOW SCHEDULE
• Learned to design different
types(sliding ,fixed ,corner ,cascade)
of windows and door(pivoted, hollow
core, decorative panels) according to
the function of room.
• normal window =clear glass of 2-
4mm thk.
• If Window height exceed 6 ft then
toughened glass of 8-12 mm thick is
used.
• Usual height of door =2400mm
• Learned to schedule with notation
